My Son Sanctuary

My Son Sanctuary is an ancient temple complex located in Duy Phu Commune, Duy Xuyen District, Quang Nam Province, about 70 kilometers southwest of Da Nang City. It once served as the religious and cultural center of the ancient Champa Kingdom, built between the 4th and 13th centuries to worship the Hindu god Shiva – the Supreme God of Hinduism.
Comprising dozens of red-brick towers and temples nestled in a lush green valley, My Son is often called a “sanctuary within the mountains,” reflecting the spiritual harmony between architecture, religion, and nature. The site showcases remarkable Cham craftsmanship through intricate carvings, sculptures, and unique construction techniques that have withstood the test of time.
In 1999, My Son Sanctuary was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site for its outstanding historical and cultural value. Today, it stands as one of Vietnam’s most important archaeological and tourist destinations, attracting visitors from around the world to explore and admire the legacy of the Champa civilization.

MY SON HOLY HALF-DAY TOUR

7:30-8:00 am
Our guide picks you up at your hotel and departs to My Son Sanctuary - The World Cultural Heritage.

9:30 am
Arrive at My Son and we'll have 2 hours to discover the site by walking through the landscape, learning histories with our local English-speaking guide, and enjoying the Champa's traditional performances.

11:45 am
Get back to the minivan and move to a local house to learn how to make rice paper, you will enjoy your own hand-making product later!

12:30 pm
Back to the van and have lunch at another local house, relax with cold herbal tea, nice food, and fresh air.

1:00 pm
Take a boat trip to Hoi An with the nice and cool breeze onboard, and beautiful river scenery on the biggest river in Central Vietnam named Thu Bon River.

1:30 pm
Arrive in Hoi An, we will drop you off at your hotel. Tour ends!

If your hotel in Da Nang, please take the transfer to Hoi An meeting point (Venus office)
